Our semi-trailer mover tug uses twin efficient 48-volt motors and we pare it with a CEC certified energy-efficient charger. This V-move tug can move at a speed up to 3.1 mph so you can get the job done fast and safely. It has twin electromagnetic brakes and an electric parking brake. Built into the highly-engineered semi-trailer tug are an anti-tip mechanism to slow you down when turning, a loud vehicle horn to warn others, and optional rear-mount cameras so you can see all around.
The V-Move 20t semi-trailer mover (also called yard truck, yard spotter, yard dog, yard goat, yard hostler, mule, prime mover, or terminal tractor) has twin maintenance-free AC motors (one per drive wheel), which results in a lower total cost of ownership for an AC motor than a DC motor, and is designed to move and stop the loads safely and without any effort from the user. An AC motor has advantages over a DC motor as it has a flatter torque curve to move the load easier, uses less energy most of the time, and smoother operation with no jerking.
